The Ugliest House In Cape Town

I think I've found it and it's going for a song at R14 500 000 (available for R2 million cheaper at R12 500 000 over here). Have a look at this 3 storey monstrosity:

What the hell is that? Seriously it looks like something I used to build with Lego when I was 5. I particularly love how the entire property is paved to remove any semblance of greenery (except for that horrid paint job). I hope the architect ain't putting that on his CV.

AHHHH... fond memories ... an old neighbour of mine.

3 bedrooms, yet the buying costs alone are R1m. I lived in a 2 bed rental not far away - those buying costs would have covered 15 years rent.

Annual bond of 1.9m - that's another 29 years rent.

Tell me again why I should buy it - oh yes, the "unique" security feature of being built on a pillar.

Doesn't mention that the house behind towers over the roof giving no privacy. So much for using it as an entertainment area.

The guy was trying to sell it privately and had a sign on his gate. I phoned him up one day and was astounded at what price he wanted. I seem to recall he picked it up for a few mil a few years back pre bubble. He basically said he was in no rush and would just wait until some sucker (my words) came along.

Thanks for the info. R12.5 million for three bedrooms and two bathrooms is way too much. Strangely It has a lift shaft, but no lift.

What the heck...R12,5 million for a house with one garage. so you can kiss parking your Hummer in the garage.

There is a house in simonstown which must surely rate as ugly as this behemoth.

Its painted brown and is as ugly as Manto in the morning...not tha I know what she looks like in the morning but i can assume!!!
