Anyone accidentally watch MAN on SABC3 on Friday night, maybe because you broke your leg and couldn't reach the remote? I realised that co-star Maurice - who claims to be 33 and a journalist - is in fact Maurice Levin, 35, public relations shill, and the same Maurice Levin who got fired by Lew Geffen for leaking the uber-bear report a while ago.

Watching Maurice use his limited charms to bed women was just more confirmation that anyone even remotely connected to the real estate industry is pondscum.

Hold onto your hats, ladies and gentlemen. I picked up the Feb edition of Full Circle magazine and cast an eye over the Pam Golding page. Try this one for size:
"KOMMETJIE. ULTRA-MODERN BEACHFRONT HOME SET IN THE PRESTIGIOUS ECO ESTATE OF KLEIN SLANGKOP. BEDROOMS 1, BATHROOMS 2, GARAGES 2, ASKING PRICE .............R9.995 MILLION."
Yes, you're seeing right. 10 big ones!

also 10 bar!!!! 10 million rand for a 2 bedroom flat!!!!

I'm finished.

At risk of reopeing the global warming debate this was in today's Argus.

"Prime property at risk as sea levels rise

Sixteen prime coast areas, including Milnerton Harbour, Green Point, Sea Point, Camps Bay and the entire Strand beachfront are at "high risk" from rising sea levels, says the City of Cape Town's latest sea-level risk assessment."

The article doesn't mention Muizenburg, a part of town that's not going to be there in 50 years even in the absolute best case scenario.

Benny did you see the damage estimated by a 4.5m storm in the papers a year or so back. In the same article they recon on a 85% chance of having that storm in the next 5 years!

No, I didn't see that report. 4.5m in 5 years, huh?
Jeez, I know so many people that are going to lose everything. My Auntie lives about 200m from Fish Hoek beach. According to Google Earth she's 2-3m above sea level.
My well-to-do trader pal that just paid for a house in Atlantic Village might be OK. The million buck view of the sewerage contaminated salt lake where the golf greens used to be might put a ding in the resale value though.
Not glad about their impending loss, just saying.

Hi.

Would like to tell you about my new website called http://www.propertyhut.co.za

Basically, users who have property needs, can submit their details for FREE on the site. These details then get emailed to agents working in the specified area. They can then contact the user directly.

We are still busy testing the system so feedback on this will be very important to us.
