About two months ago the very nice German couple down the road put their up-down Edwardian pile on the market. Can't remember if it was REMax or Kapstadt International who were selling it, but the agent's name was Marius something-or-other.
They were asking R4.3-million.
Yesterday there was a Seeff sign on the front fence. Logged onto their site (web reference 189216), and voila!
Anon, a while ago I got roundly ticked off for calling it a Victorian and was firmly told it was Edwardian. I'm not up on my royalist Anglophile architecture.
Yes, it's Brownlow Rd. And yes, whatever it is, it's almost a million too much.
a victorian terrace is not a villa no matter what seef would like us to think. has anybody noticed how houses in Camps bay particularly are now "villas" for some reason, and flats in the city bowl have become "loft apartments" no matter which floor they are on.

New asking price is R3.96-million.
Watch this space.
Um surely that is a Victorian pile? It's a terraced Victorian. Looks like Brownlow Road.
3.96 is still ludicrous for this. More like 3.1 or 3.2.

My bad then. I always thought that broekie lace + terracing = Victorian.
Looks Victorian to me. As far as i know Edwardian is flat - flat facade, flat roof
Looks over priced to me.
